Margaret and Darrell were such a pleasure to work with, and I’m so thrilled I was able to be a part of their special day. Their wedding consisted of a modern rooftop celebration with their closest family and friends in downtown Portland. Their wedding was intimate and simple, yet classy. Margaret swears her career in interior design helped her through the wedding planning process, and it honestly couldn’t have turned out to be any more beautiful.

From the Bride:

“We met the old fashioned way, in a bar! A mutual friend had been trying to set us up for a while but Darrell was always traveling since he snowboards for a living so it never happened- one night I was out with our mutual friend and Darrell happened to be at the same bar coincidentally. We were finally introduced and a couple weeks later we were dating. We dated for 6 years before Darrell proposed on Cannon Beach by writing Marry Me? with a lantern and took a long exposure photo of it. I was standing behind the camera not knowing what he was writing since it was pitch black, 10 seconds later, Darrell is by my side as the words pop up and he got down on one knee. We wanted our wedding to be intimate but a real celebration – both of our families like to have fun! We met and live in Portland but most of our family lives out of state or in another country so we thought it would be a great excuse for some of them to come visit for the first time or visit again and see why we love it here. I’m an interior designer and I swear my job has helped me get through this process and making all of these decisions. We knew what we wanted for the most part and neither one of us needed to see a million different options. We chose something we loved when we found it avoided going down the rabbit hole, we’ve heard wedding planning can be like!”
