When I met Justin & Hunter about a year ago at Justin’s brothers wedding, I fell a little in love with them. These two met in the 5th grade and have been going steady since high school. I had a blast with them on their wedding day; they are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and you can see their love and affection for one another and others.

Their wedding took place in Damascus, Oregon on Hunter’s grandparents property. Being that Hunter had spent a lot of time there growing up, it is very special that now she gets to cherish some of her best memories from her wedding there, too.

The new Mr. & Mrs. Abel have recently driven across country to Nashville and are starting their new life together there!

I love a lot of things in life but my friends, photography and traveling are ranked very high on my list of favorites. I lucked out for this wedding! Not only did I get to travel down to California to photograph on the Little Venice Island (yes, you heard me right, an island!) but I also got to photograph this wedding with my husband, which is always a blast and the bride was a childhood friend of mine! Talk about an exciting adventure! The weather was perfect, the wedding was beautiful and timeless! There were so many tiny sweet moments I got to capture and be a part of.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding was the first look! The groom stayed on the dock with his family behind him as his bride approached him by boat with her family up top, symbolizing the coming together of two families. It was truly a beautiful moment. Hope you enjoy this fairy tale wedding as much as I did!
