These two were so fun and easy to work with. They decided to have an intimate gathering for their wedding day, and I really think it took away a lot of the stress that big weddings can bring. The bride planned it all herself and even designed the invites. The groom was so gentle and sweet with her. They met at Seattle Metropolitan Magazine, and are both introverted book nerds that love to travel & take walks together.

“For us it’s never been about a big party, or a decked-out venue, but about the natural beauty of the day, and sharing the event with our close friends and family.” -The Bride

They kept their guest list small, choosing to celebrate with 30 of their closest friends + family members at a location with lots of meaning to them. The bride shares, “We knew that we wanted an intimate wedding — something small and meaningful that reflected who we are as a couple. For us, a Saturday is best spent in a park reading on a blanket together. During the months planning, we spent many weekends wandering Volunteer Park Conservatory, then settling onto a bench to read happily for a few hours. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to move in forever—inviting, serene, and bursting with life. We realized quite quickly that it captured everything we were imagining — an intimate, uplifting setting where we could make that joyous commitment to each other in front of our small guest list of family and dear friends. The conservatory is floor-to-ceiling windows and plants, and on our wedding day the sun was shining, flooding the entire space with a bright, joyful light. With two tall plants as our altar and my best friend as our officiant — the ceremony was even more magical than we could have imagined.”
